Dark Goth & Punk Rock Fashion for 2025

Dark Goth & Punk Rock Fashion for 2025

As 2025 dawns, we're all getting a little older and probably starting with that "new year, new me" stuff. New year means a new start for some, and sometimes it's just a few upgrades for others.

Part of that often includes closet overhauls at times. So why not explore some dark goth and/or punk fashion choices to add to your wardrobe if you haven't already!
Here are few ideas to  New Year, with a focus on some fellow small business owners:

1. Elevated Leather

Leather is always staple, but 2025 sees a focus on structured silhouettes and intricate details. Given that's the case, why not seek out some custom, hand-made leather accessories, tailored to your specific measurements and tastes?

Cult du Cuir
The "Leather Cult", a single woman operation, offering harnesses, belts, corsets, bags, and other accessories. She has a wide selection of pre-made designs, but also makes custom items. Not seeing your size? No problem! She can tailor items to fit your unique measurements. That's pretty fuckin' awesome.

2. Exaggerated Accessories

Chains, spikes, and statement hardware are quintessential items for dark fashion.
Why not add some hand-made stainless steel to the mix? It's cheaper than sterling silver, and there's some talented makers out there working with it:

Heart of Steel Jewelry
Bold and ferocious stainless steel jewelry. Battle axes, flail chains, and spikes galore. All hand made!

3. Sheer and Lace Layers

Sheer fabrics paired with lace bring a touch of gothic romance to your wardrobe.

Blackwood Castle
Plenty of lace, satin, and romantic beauty. Queer, female-owned and operated, Blackwood Castle has a beautiful selection of ethically manufactured wardrobe. Plus-size options are available, and everything is 100% vegan as well. Imagine the customization options. Add a corset or a harness for a dramatic touch. Either way, these dresses absolutely make a statement.

4. T-Shirts

Yes, t-shirts. They're a staple in everyone's wardrobe, and I have a special love for them, obviously! Oversized clothing is still very much a trend, and I just dropped a new tee, myself! I'm pretty excited about this one, which features my piece, "Bitter". I'll be rocking this one for some of my oversized shirt looks, and I'm going into 2025 with a little bit of a prickly edge.
